Jake and the Neverland Pirates 1st Birthday Party

[Another Late post] I would definitely take advantage of this 'time' that I am having right now.  Writing would seem to be the best thing to do :)

March 2015 was crayyyyzy! I had 3 events in two weeks! It was the peek of EllesMom and I was so excited.

This blog entry would be my 3rd event for the month of March, but in total fairness to Mommy L, she booked EllesMom way back in December, so I guess it made my life a little bit easier coz I have way a lot of time to prepare. As you know, this is not my day job :) and yes I am a mother of 2 :) and a wife to 1 :)

So when I was browsing the photos of the party details I will feature, I got excited all over again.   I am widely grinning :) Without writing any further, brace yourselves with our entry today : Jake and the Neverland Pirates party!!!

I will begin with the most adorable details of the party as I enlist:
  • the theme itself - I was so hooked! Not only that I enjoy every single detail that I orchestrate digitally - enjoyed playing with the images of Jake, Izzy and Cobby, but when I went to Party centre to organise my thoughts and materials - there were tons of items and paraphernalia related to this theme, like hello, peeeerfect!!!!
  • i love how the rustic yet childish and playful atmosphere correlate with each other. The mix of wood, earth colours and bright solid colours were just right.
  • the special treasure chest that adds that pirate-feel
  • the celebrant's name in blocked pirate letters
  • generous party favours and give-aways
  • customised Jake Outfit of the celebrant that was just really awesome

The theme was actually decided by the Mommy, and she was ready to go all the way to the top :) just to make everything perfect and fit for her adorable son. I am also glad that she trusts me well to make this party a reality :) Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme is fun to put together. The resources are way within our reach and don't need more of online purchases, its pretty much available here in our region, so we got everything we need right here!

Party Centre make sure they stock up, from party decorations, loot bag items, balloons, treasure chests, and anything pirate, they have on-stock during that time.

Jake and the Neverland Cake Table Styled by EllesMom
I have incorporated a little of rustic in the styling by using wooden crates to hold the cake and cupcakes. While the Disney series would have Bucky and Johnny Rogers as the pirates' ships, I have added some traditional ships to the table to complete the pirate look.

The cake, cupcakes, cookies are made by How Sweet Cakes, with direct coordination with the Mommy and Miss Belle. Click on the link to visit their Facebook page for your cakes needs.

Another feature on the cake table is the Treasure Chest that actually holds gold chocolate coins, chocolate rocks and fancy gems and stones. There were also seashells and chocolate rocks all round the desserts. Chocolate bars like gold bars for pirates. Cheese crackers for Skully bird are also there for munching. And of course, what's a pirate ship without cannon balls.

All party printable are customised, printed and cut by EllesMomPartyiDeas. Cupcake topper, Happy Birthday Banner, Food Labels, Loot Bag Thank you Tag, Table Numbers, Characters for Centre Table, Food Menu, Welcome sign and souvenir and gift table signs.

Another worth sharing is the Centre Pieces on the guests tables, these are printed customised Jake and the Neverland Pirates characters that stood along with the small version of the treasure chest with fancy gold and silver and gold bars.

There is also a customised name of the celebrant, each letter appears to be a pirate with a an eye-patch.

Toyrific 2nd Birthday of our JayceVincent

[Late Posting: today 23-Oct] Keeping up with this blog seemed like a challenge with time :) Although I find it amusing that I still manage to post an entry somehow, like now, kids and hubby are napping, this means alone and quiet time with iMac and this blog 👌

This party that I will feature is very special ❤️ because this is my son's 2nd birthday party we are talking about 👏 Not only we celebrated as usual with family and great friends, this time, we have very special guests from Manila who celebrated Jayce Vincent's birthday with us. Lolo Pogi, Lola And and Lola Bitskers were all here to witness this wonderful day and joined us as we celebrated Jayce's 2nd.

So let's start to go and deep dive to where this blog is all about, Party Details: to begin with, my son loves TOYS!!! I guess most of kids do! He particularly loves Buzz Lightyear at that time, and as a mom I always wanted my kids' birthday theme to go around with what they like or fancy at the time of their birthdays, and yeah you guessed it right, our 2nd birthday theme for #jaycevincent was "Toy Story 2".

Here below I have summarised my most favourite details during this Toyrific birthday party:

  • The theme was soooooo loved by the celebrant, it seemed he was just playing and enjoyed the whole time
  • The authentic Toy Story toys (owned by the birthday boy) used to style the souvenir corner
  • Use of Toy Story inspired labels and vibrant colours made the venue looking fantastic
  • Popcorn Machine loved by the kids
  • The mixed-matched space-inspired (Buzz) and cowboy-inspired (Woody) details
  • Super cool pictorial of kids before the party ends, with all of them wearing a birthday souvenir shirts
  • The Dome, which was since then, the most favourite/go-to party-place here in Abu Dhabi
  • Wooden letters covered with different Toy Story inspired stickers were also a hit

The Little Prince turns One [Late Post]

[Late Post] Once again I am keeping up with this blog.. And for as long as we are still in 2015, I believe I can keep up posting my entries eventhough its so fashionably late 😄

This entry is a very special one. Mommy R, which previously was a complete stranger to me, so vibrant and jolly approached me and requested me to become part of her little boy's first birthday. She was so easy to talk to and seemed to be very happy all the time and we immediately hit it off.

She was originally planning an ironman theme, but also felt like she needed to give her little prince a very royalistic theme and finally decided on the Little Prince Theme. The birthday boy is in fact a look-alike of Master Cedric "Ang Munting Prinsipe". So with a little mood board and a meeting over a cup of tea, we finally had an overall production in mind.

Here are some of the favourites of mine during this party :

  • The fabric cake table backdrop with falling 3D stars
  • of course the cake with a little crown which was a brilliant idea from Mommy R
  • the vibrant colour combination of blues, yellow and a little bit of red to make it look like we traveled to the time of the Little Prince
  • the venue was filled with balloons by the ever supportive friends of Mommy R and i like how they helped the Mommy to make this birthday beautiful

Now let's have a look at this royal event "Zach's 1st Birthday, The Little Prince inspired":

Double Dose of Cuteness .. #CentenoTwinsBaptism [Late Post]

A very dear friend of mine is so blessed to have been given with very cute set of twin boys - Joshua and Jacob.

EllesMomPartyiDeas was once again responsible to 'cutify' the Christening Reception of the Centeno Twins (last February, forgive the soo late blog entry), they are so adorbs so who would say no to these twinnie fellas :)

To tell the truth, I was excited! They were so close to my heart and I wanted to make them feel that I have put so much effort into this [I hope I did] ... and who wouldn't get excited preparing for these two boys'  baptism celebration.

So without further 'blah-blah', allow me to highlight what EllesMomPartyiDeas did to the #CentenoTwinBaptism celebrations:

  • My most favourite part of the entire arrangement was the adorable cake
  • Assorted Baby Boy Baptism souvenirs that gives guests options and varieties
  • The colour combination was also pleasing to the eye, and it gives our cake table a lively look & feel
  • I love how the backdrop turned out, it was DiY curtain-like circles matching the colours of the sweets
  • The cookies that were not only yummy but also functional, since it was a christening celebration, the cookies were colourful alphabets that spelled the twins' names - Joshua and Jacob
  • The inverted cake pop carefully placed on the cake table
  • It because they were twins, I have to incorporate their photos in pretty much every detail I could ever think of
  • There was a baby carriage by the end of the side table, this carriage holds the fresh flower arrangements that we later on gave to the Mommy
  • and to have yet again increase the dosage of cuteness, I have added cuddly bears from Build-a-Bear to the centre stage along with the family couch

and now, let's have a look at it through this collection of photos from the event (12-Feb-15):

The cake inspiration was taken from Pinterest, but EllesMomPartyiDeas decided to modify the colour combination to make it more vibrant and colourful as requested by the twins' parents. Indeed, Ms. Belle from How Sweet Cakes, yet again, delivered a well made customised cake for the twins. For inquiries call Ms. Belle at Mobile No: 0552647700.

Apart from the cake, How Sweet Cakes also made the:
  • Cookies
  • Inverted Cake Pops
  • Chocolate Cup Cakes
