Last Christmas ... Party Ideas [Late Post]

[March 22, 2015] Obviously, I am working on some back log posts. My apologies for the late postings. Especially this one, as this was from our Last Christmas seasons (2014).

But hey, it is not too late for your next christmas preparations, so here it goes:

Last Christmas, I dressed our home with cute little finds from the ever reliable thrift shop in town Daiso:
Ceramic Santa's Gift from Daiso
Top: Ceramic Santa House from Daiso
Bottom: Printable from Silhouette Cameo, frame from Daiso

An idea came to mind when I was on my cutting machine browsing some Christmas layouts, to print and cut some Christmas greetings and frame them, this will instantly create christmassy effect to your house, without having to exert much effort.

Santa Claus Plate, Ceramic Gift Jar from Daiso
Fresh Poinsettia from Peony Flowers
Red long candle sticks from Ikea

It is also a good idea to get some fresh Christmas flowers from your nearest flower shop. I got mine of course from Peony Flowers, for orders and delivery please call them at 02-6443389. They also have a Christmas Bazaar stall at the St. Joseph Cathedral.

Occasional table beside the Christmas Tree

Placing an occasional table beside the Christmas Tree will somehow extend your Christmas corner in the house, especially if the space is a bit constricted just like in my case, we have a bit of a small living area. This is actually an Ikea shelving unit Kallax placed horizontally where we keep some of the kids' toys. Who would image that inside those boxes are my kids' once cluttered toys. This Christmas I wrapped the boxes with Christmas table runner that I also put on top of this unit.

Christmas socks for my two from Pottery Barn, personalised with their names
I loved these Christmas socks of my two kids, Elle and Jayce were the ones who chose their own designs. This cost 95AED each from Pottery Barn plus the embroidery fee of 40AED.

N O E L Block letters from Lakeland completes the cake table look

Another good buy last Christmas was the NOEL letters from Lakeland which was only 55AED, the O is actually a bell.

And of course, in the Criso household, we made sure we had some Christmas Cake to share on Christmas day. The cake, cupcakes, cookies and cake pops were all made by How Sweet Cakes
